One of our favorites from last spring was Suzie and Bryan's wedding at 501 Union. We loved their concept - an elegant take on a backyard barbecue party. From the whimsical designs of the centerpieces to the handmade pinwheels for guests to find their seating, every element came together perfectly to create an amazing evening.

The couple wanted to give the very modern and industrial space a fresh, spring feel, so we lay 2,000 square feet of sod to create an indoor lawn for the ceremony and cocktail hour. We had also built a gorgeous chuppah with cherry blossoms, orchids, and succulents. A lush garland of roses, hydrangeas, Queen Anne's lace, and dusty miller hung from the front post. Bistro lights were strung from the ceiling beams, and the roof was retracted to let in the spring sunshine.
Bride's bouquet - garden roses, trailing jasmine, Queen Anne's lace, dahlias, ranunculus. Bride's hairpiece - ranunculus, astilbe, wax flowers, sweet peas.
Table centerpieces consisted of arrangements and miniature terrariums in mason jars and vintage bottles. Moss and succulents were placed directly on the table to add to the organic theme. Each arrangement was unique - we used a variety of wild, garden-y flowers with blossoming branches and textured greens. Silver mercury glass cups held tea lights that delicately illuminated the tabletop when the sun went down.
